Food is the basic need of all living organisms including human beings. While all other living beings search for their meal, humans have to earn their living. Some persons are not able to even make their bread and butter due to unemployment, physical ailments, mental retardation or some other reasons. But they need food for survival, so, to make food accessible to these poor people, Uttar Pradesh government started a new scheme Yogi Adityanath Annapurna Canteen in which food will be provided at cheap rates to all poor people.
Annapurna Canteen UP by Adityanath Yogi Yojna
The plan of this Annapurna Canteen is ready to be implemented in 14 Municipal Corporations of the state of Uttar Pradesh. A total number of 275 canteens will be started in the states like:
Menu of food in the canteen
This Annapurna Canteen UP has decided to provide a variety of foods in breakfast, Lunch and dinner. The breakfast will be served for Rs. 3 and it will be provided in the form of Daliya, Poha, Idli-Sambhar and Chay-Pakoda. The menu for lunch has Bread or Roti, Rice and seasonal vegetable and it will cost Rs. 5. The last meal of the day will have Daal Chawal, Bread or Roti and Mausomi Sabzi.
A person will have to spend only Rs. 13 a day to have all the three meals. The UP State government is going to spend 153.39 crores for this UP Sarkari Yojna. This Adityanath Yogi Yojna has been inspired by Amma canteens of Tamil Nadu that is providing clean and hygienic food to people at low cost.
We think Yogi Adityanath Annapurna Canteen is a great step in the direction of poverty reduction. In today’s world of inflation, the government should take care of basic needs of the destitute.
