After enrolment for the adhaar card, you can quickly check its status online. You are given an acknowledgement slip once you get enrolled and have completed the whole process the centre. As this card is issued by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India ), the adhaar card status can be checked by visiting the UIDAI website.
These are the simple steps to check Adhar card status online:
Visit the official website of UIDAI or click on this link: https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status
You will see a web page displaying a form to be filled up by the Enrolment ID and date and time of registration. This information is given on the acknowledgement slip or registration slip.
The first column is Aadhaar Enrolment in which an option is there as ‘Check Aadhaar status’. Click on this option to get a page demanding the same information i.e. enrollment ID and Date and Time of registration.
- The 14 digit enrolment number and 14 digit date and time of enrollment together constitute the Enrolment ID or EID of 28 numbers.
- Now enter the security code in the column given in the form. If you are not able to read this code, you have the option for another code.
- If you have entered any wrong information, you can edit the form using the reset button.
- Finally, click on check status button.
